All twenty-two Deltic locomotives appear in full colour before they were withdrawn at locations both familiar and unusual. Deltics are to be seen on regular workings, specials, double-headed, on stabling points, depots and works, ex-works, clean, specially prepared and downright filthy. A number of exceptionally delightful night shots are also included as we count down the months and years from 1977 until the spring of 1982 and the final farewell.
 
This collection came from an extensive trawle of many thousands of shots, and only the very best have been used to tell the story of the Class 55s last few years of service.
