A surprise presentation was made to Jonathan "Gus" Dunster during the Severn Valley Spring Diesel Festival to thank Gus for his monumental dedication and commitment to the group over the last 30 years as our chairman.
Joe Burr, Chairman of the Fifty Fund led the presentation joined by Geoff Hudson,our honorary president and Dave Keogh who along side Gus was instrumental in 50035 being preserved.
Gus was presented with a cut glass crystal ornament, a photo book documenting his class 50 adventures as well as a "scrapbook of thanks" with personal messages from supporters, volunteers past & present, family & industry partners .
Gus stepped down as Chairman after 30 years in December 2022 and is currently the interim managing director of the Severn Valley Railway where the C50A /The Fifty Fund are based .
