Embankment Collapse on the Severn Valley Railway

As you may have read in the railway press, our home railway has suffered a devastating embankment failure on the section of line between Hampton Loade and Bridgnorth.

The railway is now in the process, with the help of Network Rail and other industry partners, to investigate the cause and then commence repairs to reopen the line as soon as safely possible.

The good news is the line between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade is open and ready for visitors and last weekend saw 50035 in action.

As you can imagine the team at SVR need to re write the timetable and this will cause changes to operations as trains will need to run top and tail.

Updates will be announced via the normal social media channels and on their website.

The railway have had a fantastic response to fundraising and are truly grateful for any help given.
